界內事教

(界內事教, 界内事教)

Tiantai's term for the Tripiṭaka school, i. e. Hīnayāna, which deals rather with immediate practice, confining itself to the five (sa) skandhas, twelve stages, and eighteen regions, and having but imperfect ideas of [lang id =1028]空 the illimitable.

天台宗說三藏教雖然精究五蘊十二處十八界等事相之法門， 但其理只屬偏真之空理， 究竟的道理還很淺薄， 故貶之為界內事教。
